  1. A lot of these names were confirmed in the Mitchell Report, some are an obvious yes, and some I don’t agree with.

    If Kris Benson was juicing he did an awful job of it.

  2. Also, why isn’t Brian Giles name ever mentioned? Guy was about the most clear cut case there was in his big-time Pittsburgh days.

  3. MLB gave the players a warning well in advance of this test. I know there are certain types of anabolic steroids that can linger in the system, but if I remember correctly, these guys knew about this test almost 8 months in advanced. The most amazing note of physically seeing 103 names, despite the fact that this list is probably fake, is how stupid these guys must have been to be nabbed. From what I can recall off the top of my head, if less than 5% of big leaguers tested positive, then they would have tabled the steroid issue indefinitely. Imagine the naive fans at the time seeing 3-4% test positive and say, “See, I told you there was no issue.” Guys would be hitting 80 HR/YR now, and guys like Bonds still might be playing.
