Since my last post, I’ve become aware of a few other Haiti Relief efforts from teams across the Eastern League.  Not wanting to leave anyone out, I thought I’d add this addendum.  Please support any Haiti relief causes you come across.  Below are the efforts not known in my last post.  Thank you again to Bill Rosario of the Eastern League.

AKRON AEROS: The Aeros are donating 25% of all mini plans purchased between Jan. 25th-31st.  They have raised over $1,000 with their effortsso far.

NEW BRITAIN ROCK CATS: The Rock Cats hosted their Hot Stove Luncheon on Friday, Jan. 22nd.  They announced at the luncheon that proceeds from the luncheon would go toward the Red Cross’ Haitian Relief efforts.  Additionally, During the luncheon, Paul Sullivan, CEO of the American Red Cross Blood Services Division for Connecticut, was given their Triple Crown Award.

RICHMOND FLYING SQUIRRELS: The Flying Squirrels made a donation of merchandise, tickets and a first pitch to a local silent auction that supports the relief efforts in Haiti.  Also, a donation was made to a local group of Virginians that are aiding in the relief efforts.
