Five Tool Prospects is looking for passionate baseball fans from across the county to come together to help contribute their writing skill and knowledge of the game. We will be assigning writers to every league, conference, and state in amateur and professional baseball in order to provide our readers with the most in-depth and first-hand information on teams, prospects, and stories of interest. Please note: these positions are unpaid, and Five Tool Prospects is not responsible for your safety driving to and scouting at any game or event. Areas include:

Five Tool Prospects has completed their initial list of the top 35 prospects in the minor leagues. In order to be eligible for the list, players must still be eligible for the Rookie of the Year Award (less than 130 MLB at-bats, 50 innings pitched, or 45 days the active roster). We will continue to expand the list and rank the top prospects in each organization, as well. Premium membership is required to see the complete list and scouting reports on these players (Top Prospects -> Minor League).

The initial list of 2010 Frontier League Top Prospects has been posted. This list does not include players that have already been signed by MLB organizations this off-season. This list will be changing on a weekly or bi-weekly basis through the off-season and summer baseball season as players come and go. If you would like to submit an independent, college, high school, or free agent prospect click on the “Submissions” tab.

Five Tool Prospects is now actively searching for writers/bloggers for the new site format covering all aspects and levels of baseball amateur, pro, foreign and domestic. Our target is to recruit hundreds of fans, players, scouts, coaches, broadcasters, etc., who love the game of baseball and enjoy sharing their opinions.
We are looking to make assignments covering prep baseball state-by-state, college baseball conference-by-conference, as well as minor league, major league, independent, winter, and international baseball on a league-by-league basis. We will be asking our assigned writers to produce a pre-season preview, mid-season progress report, and post-season summary as a bare minimum complete with team rankings and top prospects with scouting reports.

In the coming months, Five Tool Prospects will be making the switch from an online amateur baseball profile database to a true online baseball community for fans, by fans, covering all levels of baseball including high school, college, summer collegiate, independent, minor league and major league baseball. Five Tool Prospects will be looking for your help to rank players and teams on a state by state and national basis, combining staff, fan, coach, and player scouting reports to provide in-depth coverage on a national, state-by-state, conference-by-conference, and league-by-league levels. Scouts, coaches, and fans are all welcome to provide scouting reports for teams and players in addition to our staff that will be scouting and ranking teams, players, and leagues across the country.
