Five Tool Prospects provides free online profiles to high school, college, and professional baseball players and coaches.  Five Tool Prospects has been designed to cut scouting costs for professional organizations, recruiting costs for colleges, and travel and tryout costs for players.  The goal is to make Five Tool Prospects the scouting and recruiting hub of all collegiate and professional baseball.

Why should I use Five Tool Prospects?

A better question is, why not use Five Tool Prospects?  Because our online profiles are free, you have nothing to risk.  Creating a profile on Five Tool Prospects can only help your career.  Once you have created your profile, you will be instantly put online and made public for any college coach or professional scout to see.

How much does it cost to be a part of Five Tool Prospects?

Five Tool Prospects' service is completely free of charge and we hope to always keep it that way.  Our goal is to promote athletes, not take advantage of them.  The only thing you will ever have to pay for on the Five Tool Prospects site is if you choose to attend a Five Tool Prospects Certified Event and purchase a Five Tool Propsects Professional Evaluation.

What is a Five Tool Prospects Professional Evaluation and how do I get one?

Five Tool Prospects has teamed up with professional organizations and training facilities across the country in order to honestly and professional evaluate your ability to play at the Major League level.  For more information on what organizations are affiliated with Five Tool Prospects, click the AFFILIATES tab on the top of your screen.  For more information on upcoming Five Tool Prospects Certified Events, click the EVENTS tab on the top of your screen.

Why is Five Tool Prospects better than other scouting services?

Five Tool Prospects was founded by Jason Wuerfel, the current Director of Baseball Operations of the Traverse City Beach Bums of the Frontier League, and soon the site will have many affiliations with indpendent leagues across the country.  The site was founded and will be used with one common goal - to find the best talent possible.  This goal will extend through the college ranks.  We want to make sure that no player is overlooked by college or professional teams.  No longer will you have to travel thousands of miles and spend hundreds of dollars on tryout fees - you can get the same impact on Five Tool Prospects for free and a Professional Evaluation at one of our Certified Sites for only $50.

Do coaches pay to use Five Tool Prospects?

Five Tool Prospects is free for high school, college, and professional coaches.  We will never charge coaches, or anyone else, to use our prospect database.  We encourage every player who joins Five Tool Prospects to invite their coach to leave a reference on their profile.  Colleges and professional teams are always interested what a coach has to say, but often does not have the time to pick up the phone to call them.  Five Tool Prospects has simplified this process for everyone.

What happens once I create a profile on Five Tool Prospects?

Your profile goes live for the world to see.  You should keep this in mind when updating your information - never include anything on your profile that you do not want the general public to see.  For security purposes, Five Tool Prospects will never disclose your contact information on your public profile and will only disclose this information to college coaches and professional scouts upon request.

How do I update my profile?

You can update your profile any time for free.  Five Tool Prospects will never charge for profile updates.  We suggest that you keep your stats up to date on a game by game basis and ask your coaches to keep your team pages up to date as well.  That way college coaches and professional scouts will always have the most timely and accurate information on you possible.
